The governance of the Trust shall be in the hands of the Board of Trustees. The Board shall be responsible for carrying out the strategic purposes and objectives of the Trust as a non-profit organization.
The board of Trustees shall compose of eleven members who will serve a term of six years. Their term is renewable upon recommendation of the Board of Trustees. To ensure continuity of institutional knowledge, the board shall develop a staggered formula for the expiration of members’ term.
Membership in the Board of Trustees is voluntary and shall be open to any eligible person interested in furthering the purposes of the organization. It is critical that whoever is on the Board is seen as having absolute integrity and preferable that they be well known and respected in the communities which they serve.
