Al-Rahmah School Educational Trust (ASET) is a non-profit entity, established in 2007 under section 501(C) (03) of the IRS code. ASET’s goal is to support the community’s education needs from the time children enter Al-Rahmah Nursery and School to beyond.
Al-Rahmah School is a nursery through twelfth grade school attended by students from the Baltimore metropolitan area. As an growing institution, Al Rahmah needs financial support to provide state-of-the-art facilities and to expand its services and capacity to meet the future needs.
Alhamdulillah, with this forward thinking vision, ASET has established an endowment fund to provide for the long-term financial strength of the Al-Rahmah School. When mature, profits from ASET’s endowed funds will provide supplemental funds for scholarships and financial aid; teacher salaries and professional development; labs and equipment; academic, athletic and extra-curricular activities at Al-Rahmah School.
Like other similar endowment trusts, contributions to this trust shall be preserved permanently and only a portion of the income, generated from this fund, shall be utilized.
Most well-known educational institutions, such as Gilman School, Baltimore and Harvard University, Cambridge, have established such trusts and are reaping huge benefits from which their students and faculty benefit from.
